APATAP 2025 Conference - Ethic, Politics and Professional Standards in Threat Assessment.
Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre
17 - 19 September 2025
The Asia Pacific Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (APATAP) is excited to return to Singapore for our 2025 conference. Set against the backdrop of one of the most vibrant cities in the region, this year’s theme, Ethics, Politics, and Professional Standards, aims to foster critical discussions on the evolving dynamics of our profession.
As threat assessment professionals, we navigate complex ethical dilemmas and political landscapes while upholding various professional standards. This conference seeks to explore the key questions and external influences that shape how we approach our practice today.
Join us in Singapore to connect with fellow practitioners, exchange ideas, and contribute to shaping the future of threat assessment and management.

Dress Code
Consistent with our conference theme and the Association's core values, the APATAP Committee recognises that dress codes have historically imposed European cultural expectations on colonised peoples, and we commit to providing a safe environment where culturally-diverse, gender-diverse, neurodivergent, person with disability, and bigger-bodied people may dress in ways that affirm their identities and sensory needs.
Attendees are encouraged to dress for their authentic selves and support others in doing so. This may include diversity in clothing styles and materials, avoidance of language that equates conformity with professionalism, dressing for comfort and practicality over compliance (e.g., suits and/or heels are not expected), and similar mindful behaviours that will contribute to the creation of a more equitable and just society.
Child Policy
To ensure the safety of children and the comfort of presenters and other attendees, APATAP has a no minors policy at our events and conferences. This is done to ensure that children are not exposed to content which may be disturbing or distressing in nature. Attendees must also not bring guests into the conference without prior registration regardless of age.
